Youth Sailing Program
The 2008 sailing season is scheduled to kick off with Sailing Camp starting
June 23. Please register now to ensure your child's spot. Click here to learn all about TEIA's
wonderful sailing offerings and here to get the schedule and registration materials, and please mail

TEIA Sailing Program Code of Conduct
- Use language and manners that will bring respect to you and to TEIA
- Treat boats, docks, facilities with care and respect.
- Know that the use of tobacco, alcohol, non-prescribed drugs and fireworks are illegal and prohibited at all sailing functions.
- Show respect for other people at all times.
- For your safety, please follow instructions or assignments given by instructors.
- Live up to your highest expectations for yourself so you can be proud of who you are and what you have accomplished.
During the season, please leave messages at the sail locker phone (207.766.5420) if you will miss a sailing class so instructors can plan. Thank you!
What to bring to sailing classes
- Comfortable, but snug-fitting life jacket with a whistle attached
- 1st day – bathing suit & towel for swim test
- Closed-toed, non-slip shoes that can get WET – sneakers, booties, water shoes…
- Layers of clothing that are appropriate for the weather & rain gear
- Wear sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for sun protection
- Bring a water bottle and a small snack to take with you on the boat
- Get enough sleep, eat breakfast and bring your good attitude!!

- Driving Race Team kids to away regattas
- Helping to host sailing events and races at TEIA
